The *Diamond Sutra* is a core scripture of Mahayana Buddhism, centered on the concept of *emptiness (śūnyatā)*. Through a dialogue between the Buddha and his disciple Subhūti, it expounds the principle of *"arousing the mind without attachment."* The text repeatedly deconstructs attachments, emphasizing that all phenomena are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, and shadows—nothing should be clung to, not even the *"Dharma"* itself.
Its core verse states:
*"All conditioned phenomena are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, shadows;
Like dew and lightning—thus should they be contemplated."*
This reveals the key to liberation: seeing beyond appearances to realize true nature. Ultimately, it teaches *"dwelling nowhere while giving rise to the mind,"* guiding practitioners to cultivate wisdom and compassion without attachment, thereby attaining transcendent insight (*prajñā*).
